Abstract

A crimp connector for receiving a pipe for transporting fluid or gas that is leak proof and easy to install. The crimp connector including: a hollow body having: one or more ridges; and a first protrusion adjacent to a second protrusion to define a channel; and a cover having a first segment and a second segment, the first segment extending over at least a portion of the first protrusion, wherein: at least part of the first segment of the cover is restrained between the first protrusion and the second protrusion by: situating a substantially straight part of the first segment between the first protrusion and the second protrusion; and deforming the substantially straight part in a manner to restrain it between the first protrusion and the second protrusion; and the second segment is configured to be crimped to engage the one or more ridges into an inner surface of the pipe to form a connection between the pipe and the hollow body.
