Abstract

An escutcheon assembly for a door is provided which comprises a housing having a securing portion and a retaining portion, wherein the retaining portion is configured to accommodate a cylinder lock, and an escutcheon having a lock aperture. The lock aperture is configured to receive the retaining portion of the housing such that the cylinder lock is positioned in the lock aperture and the securing portion of the housing abuts the escutcheon. The securing portion is configured to be sandwiched between the escutcheon and the door when the escutcheon is attached to the door so as to mount the housing and the cylinder lock to the door. This may provide a suitable locking arrangement for doors that do not otherwise have entirely suitable arrangements.
