Abstract

Exisiting solar heating systems fail to provide a cooling option. The present invention addresses this problem by providing a temperature management system for a private household or public building, comprising one hot reservoir, optionally designed as a hot water container, and one cold reservoir, optionally designed as a cold water container, which are or can be coupled with at least one solar collector or heat exchanger installed outdoors for the purpose of heating or cooling the respective reservoir, wherein the hot reservoir or hot water container and/or the cold reservoir or cold water container includes a heating or cooling spiral through which a heat transfer medium circulates in a circuit, comprising a plurality of valves according to the setting of which, the circuit of at least one solar collector or heat exchanger for the heat exchange medium is closed, optionally in different ways upon election of daytime operation, the circuit is closed via the heating spiral in the hot reservoir or hot water container (daytime operation) so that heat is transported from one or more solar collectors and/or heat exchangers to the hot reservoir or hot water container; and upon election of nighttime operation, the circuit is closed via the cooling spiral in the cold reservoir or cold water container so that heat is transported from the cold reservoir or cold water container to one or more solar collectors and/or heat exchangers.
