1. TITLE OF THE INVENTION
Tactical Warm Underwear Pants for Fast Removal
2. DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the need for quick removal of warm underwear clothing in
tactical environments, in particular - warm thermal underwear pants.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the need for fast removal of warm clothing in tactical
environments. Soldiers or personnel in environments with enemy nearby have continuous time
constraints for personal administration. In cold conditions warm pants generally cannot be worn
underneath issued camouflage pants due to the time required to remove them if the tactical
situation changes. These pants address this issue by providing a thermal fabric, close to the skin,
that provide moisture wicking, breathability, warmth and quick removal by the zips on the side of
each leg of the pants.
Prior Art of this invention relates to US Patent Number 20150359270 where the pants have
zips on the sides. However the pants mentioned in the patent are designed to be worn as an outer
layer. The zips in the patent claims are non-separating. This invention does little to solve the
problem that soldiers face when putting warm thermal pants on as
there is no tactile embellishment to distinguish front from back
the zips are non-separating so the user cannot put them on whilst wearing tactical pants and
boots
there is no velcro to hold the zips together whilst the user is donning the pants

STATEMENT OF INVENTION
At least a preferred embodiment of the present invention allows the wearer to remove the
present invention (tight fitting thermal pants) whilst still wearing boots and camouflage tactical
pants.
As a first aspect, the invention broadly consists in thermal underwear long pants, comprising
a pants main body having a front side, and a rear side, and a separating zip on both legs,
on the medial side where the side seam would be, running from the waistband to the leg opening
on both sides of the pants.
As a second aspect, the present invention broadly consists in thermal underwear long pants with
zips down the medial edges of both legs with;
a pants main body having a front side, distinguished by a label or tactile embellishment on
the front elastic waistband in order for the user to distinguish the front side of the pants in low light
conditions, and
a velcro or attachment point along the waistband in vicinity of the medial side of the hips in
order for securing the unzipped pants together to better facilitate the zipping of the pants together
under time constraints.
BREIF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 is an elevation view of a pair of pants in accord with the present invention.
Figure 2 is a upwards view of the distal end of the pants showing the leg openings.
Figure 3 is a side elevation view of the pants showing one side of the waist band.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In Figure 1, a tactile embellishment (1) is present on the outer side of the elastic waist band
(7). This is for the user to distinguish the front of the pants from the rear in low light conditions.
In Figure 1, on the side seam (medial edge) of the pants on both sides a full length
separating zip is present (3 & 3a) from the waist band to the leg openings.
In Figure 1, on the waist band (7) on the medial sides of the waist band a patch of velcro
attached to a flap of elastic (2 & 2a) joins the waist band together over the bottom stop of the zip.
In Figure 2, on the side seam of both legs of the pants the top stop and the slider of the zips
are shown (6 & 6a). When the zip elements are joined and the pants are being worn the top stop
and the slider of the zips are at the leg openings. This configuration of the zips allows for
convenience when putting them on when used in conjunction with the velcro patches on the elastic
flaps indicated by Figure 1 (2 & 2a).
In Figure 3, the elements of the zip are together (11) and the bottom stop of the zip (8) is
underneath the velcro patch attached to the elastic flap (9). The elastic flap with velcro sewn on the
underside (9) joins the rear elastic waistband (12) to the front elastic waistband (13) via a strip of
corresponding velcro (10) on the front elastic waistband (13).

Claims (3)
- CLAIMS IS 1 Thermal underwear pants, comprising a pants main body having a front side and rear side, and a full length zip running from the waistband to the leg openings on both sides (medial edge) of the pants. The zip top stop and slider being at the leg opening end when the elements of the zip are connected and the bottom stop being at the waistband end of the zip.
- 2 The pants of claim 1, and a tactile embellishment on the centre outward side of the front of the waistband to allow the wearer to distinguish the front from the back in low light conditions.
- 3 The pants of claim 2 further comprising of a velcro strip and corresponding velcro tab attached to an elastic flap over the zip at the waistband. This allows the wearer to attached the pants to the body unzipped, whilst doing one zip up at a time. Page 4 of 5 Page 5 of 5
