Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for preventing auxiliary generator circuit of diesel locomotive from overvoltage includes following steps: setting voltage reference of auxiliary generator circuit; detecting the real voltage value of it; input the difference between the setting and real value to PI regulator for calculating the duty cycle of PWM waveform which drives exciting current of auxiliary generator; detecting the duty cycle, if it is greater than the predetermined P%, regulating voltage reference and limiting the output of PWM. The invention solves the overvoltage of auxiliary generator circuit of locomotive when engine running at low speed and air compressor operating, ensures the safety of electrical system and meets the requirement of manipulating locomotive.
