Abstract

A diffuser module (1) for connection to an air conditioning cooling or heating unit (9) arranged to condition air in a space comprises a body, a first channel (13) and at least one diffuser (17). The body defines an interior chamber (5). The body has an upper end (7) capable of being connected to the air conditioning unit (9) and an opposing lower end (11). The first channel (13) is disposed in the chamber (5) for receiving a first air stream (15) from the unit (9). The at least one diffuser (17) is connected to the lower end (11) of the body. The diffuser (17) is able to receive the first air stream (15) from the first channel (13) and discharge it to the space. The diffuser (17) is able to discharge at least a portion of the first air stream (15) at a substantially constant discharge velocity or throw when the airflow rate of the first air stream (15) received from the unit (9) is varied.
