Abstract

The disclosure relates to a mixture comprising a solvent, at least one of dibenzylidene sorbital and analogues of dibenzylidene sorbital to provide stability to oil dispersion formulations and an agricultural active ingredient. The agricultural active ingredient may be an herbicide, an insecticide or a fungicide. The herbicide may be sulfonamides, sulfonylureas and derivatives, arylpyridine carboxylic acids and derivatives, arylpyrimidine carboxylic acids and derivatives, anilides, imidazolinones, carbazones, pyroxsulam, florasulam, penoxsulam, diflufenican, thifensulfuron, tribenuron, mesosulfuron, clopyralid, aminopyralid, fluroxypyr, triclopyr, picloram, alkali metal salts or amine salts of benzoic acids, phenoxyalkanoic acids, nitriles, pyridinecarboxylic acids and pyridyloxycarboxylic acids, dicamba, 2,4-D, MCPA, 2,4-DB, aminopyralid, picloram, clopyralid, bromoxynil, ioxynil, fluroxypyr and triclopyr. The composition may further comprise an herbicide safener. The disclosure also relates to a method of controlling insects, plant disease or weeds.
