Abstract

588517 Disclosed is a water turbine system. The system has a rotor assembly that is axially symmetric about an axis of rotation and has an upstream rotor face. The system further has a turbine shroud (102) within which at least a portion of the rotor assembly is disposed, the turbine shroud (102) comprising a turbine shroud inlet and a turbine shroud terminus. The turbine shroud terminus has a plurality of turbine shroud mixer elements (120a), and the turbine shroud inlet has a non-circular cross-sectional area. The system further has an ejector shroud (128) within which at least a portion of the turbine shroud (102) is disposed, the ejector shroud (128) comprising an ejector shroud inlet and an ejector shroud terminus.
