Abstract

A runner assembly (14) for slidably supporting a mobile shelving unit above a longitudinal track. The runner assembly includes: a longitudinal body including a horizontal planar portion having at least one longitudinal underside slot (18) extending along an underside thereof; a roller cartridge (20) attached to the underside slot, the roller cartridge including a roller (69) adapted to slidably engage the longitudinal track; at least one fastening means in the form of a nut (30) and bolt (34); and at least one slot (26, 28) extending longitudinally along the top outer surface of the body. The slot is in the form of a T-shaped slot including a larger inner region adapted to slideably accommodate the nut, and a narrower outer opening allowing for insertion through of the bolt to engage the nut at desired positions along its length. Each of the fastening means is used to attach a mobile shelving component to the body.
