Abstract

A difference voltage UDiff, formed at summing point 209 from a transmission signal URF and a feedback voltage Ufb, is amplified in amplifier 202 and transmitted onto the low voltage line L1, N via the DC isolation transformer network 204 and power matching impedance network 206. A voltage Umeas that is proportional to the output current IM is detected at the output of the network by a shunt resistor 208 and supplied via a regulator module 207 as the feedback voltage to the summing point. Using this arrangement the modulation on the power network due to the frequency shifting of the radio frequency transmission signal is smooth and does not cause excessive amplitude excursions or spiking.
