Abstract

Compounds of formula (I), wherein: R1 is a hydrophilic polymer comprising a linkage for attachment to the dibenzyl moiety, R2 is selected from H, alkyl and aryl, R3 is selected from O(C=O)R4, S(C=O)R4, and O(C=S)R4, R4 is an amine containing ligand, R5 is selected from H, alkyl and aryl, and the orientation of R3 is ortho or para. The compounds are used in to provide liposomes with improved blood circulation time.
