Abstract

A collapsible container has a base 2 and inward folding sidewalls 1 of injection molded thermoplastic. The sidewalls are movably attached to the base by hinges 3, and the short sidewalls each include a locking device 4 that pivots on an axis 12 to a locking position to hold the sidewalls in the erected position. The revolving motion of the locking device 4 describes an arc that is divided into a locking zone VL and a neutral zone VF. The locking devices maintain the locking of the erected sidewalls whilst being turned within the locking zone, and when the locking devices are turned into the neutral zone the side walls can be detached from each other and folded.
