Abstract

This process for assaying albumin in a sample containing free haemoglobin by optical measurement at least two wave lengths comprises: (a) an albumin measuring signal sufficiently strong for determination is provided at a first measuring wave length; (b) at a second measurement wavelength, (i) no albumin measuring signal or (ii) an albumin measuring signal being smaller in comparison with the measuring signal at the first measuring wave length is provided and (c) at the first and the second measuring wave length a comparatively equal interfering signal which is produced by reaction of haemoglobin with the test reagent used to determine albumin, and which changes in relation to time.
