Abstract
Fremgangsmåte for å overvåke/ monitorere strømningsparametere i en rørledning, for eksempel en olje- eller gassledning, samt for å påvise dannelse av hydrat-plugger i en slik rørledning, ved hvilken man etablerer i minst ett tilkoblingspunkt på rørledningen en bølgekilde/ signalgiver som tilfører rørledningen elektromagnetiske bølger ved en eller flere frekvenser, samt at det tilkobles utstyr for å registrere refleksjoner av slike bølger samt utstyr for å tolke nevnte refleksjoner med hensyn til hvordan avstand mellom tilkoblingspunkt og refleksjonspunkt varierer med tiden, og grad av forskjell i dielektrisitetskonstant mellom mediene hvis grenseflater refleksjonene skjer fra. Det gis også anvisning på en anordning til bruk ved utøvelse av fremgangsmåten, samt på anvendelse av en slik bølgekilde og mottaker for å overvåke strømningsparametere i en rørledning.A method for monitoring / monitoring flow parameters in a pipeline, for example an oil or gas pipeline, and for detecting hydrate plugs in such a pipeline, establishing at least one connection point on the pipeline a wave source / signal supplying the pipeline electromagnetic waves at one or more frequencies, and equipment for recording reflections of such waves as well as equipment for interpreting said reflections with respect to how distance between connection point and reflection point varies with time, and degree of difference in dielectric constant between media whose interfaces the reflections happen. Also provided is a device for use in the practice of the method, as well as the use of such a wave source and receiver for monitoring flow parameters in a pipeline.
