Abstract
Prosesser for fremstilling av hovedsakelig tørt polyakrylamidpulver hvori nivåene hvor rest-akrylamidmonomer er vesentlig redusert, er tilveiebrakt. Disse prosesser er særlig egnet for bruk i en industriell eller fabrikkmessig skala. En prosess omfatter tilveiebringelse av vandige polyalkrylamid-gelpartikler forurenset med akrylamidmonomer, amidaseenzym påføres på de vandige gelpartikler mens disse befinner seg ved en temperatur på 50-95°C og hovedsakelig umiddelbart føres de vandige gelpartikler til et tørketrinn og underkastes i dette trinn for en temperatur på minst 60°C. De endelige nivåer for rest-akrylamid kan reduseres ennå mer med innføringen av et kort oppholdstrinn på ikke mer enn 30 minutter ved en temperatur på 20-70°C før partiklene føres til tørking.
