Abstract

Katalysator for dehydrogenering av etylbenzen til styren, omfattende jernoksid, oksider av alkali- og jordalkalimetaller, oksider fra lantanrekken og oksider av metallene i gruppe seks i det periodiske system. Katalysatoren fremstilles fra en pasta av jernoksid impregnert med en vandig løsning av et ceriumsalt, hvilken behandles med vandig KOH og kalsineres, etter tørking, for å danne preformet kaliumferrat, hvortil de andre bestanddelene eller forløperne i katalysatoren deretter tilføres.Catalyst for dehydrogenation of ethylbenzene to styrene, comprising iron oxide, oxides of alkali and alkaline earth metals, oxides of the lanthanum series and oxides of the metals of group six of the Periodic Table. The catalyst is prepared from a paste of iron oxide impregnated with an aqueous solution of a cerium salt, which is treated with aqueous KOH and calcined, after drying, to form preformed potassium ferrate, to which the other constituents or precursors of the catalyst are then added.
