Logg som baserer seg på et posisjoneringssystem og omfatter sender/mottaker- utrustning (1) for dette, en forbindelses- linje (2), en databehandlingsenhet (3), en videomonitor (4) for grafikk, en gra- fikkskriver (5) og et tastatur (6) for betjening. Loggen bygger på anvendelse av digi- tale kart som inneholder informasjon om både et farvanns kystlinjer og de terri- torialgrenser som foreligger, slik at man med et spesialprogram kan få indikert de korteste avstander til både kystlinjene og territorialgrensene, fra fartøyet. Informasjonen logges inn i enhetens (3) datalager for ikke flyktig informa- sjon. Samtlige av loggens elementer er forseglbare.
