Abstract
Kopling for bruk med et spolbart komposittrør f.eks. for bruk under brønnlogging og overhalingsoperasjoner i oljebrønner. Røret består av en ytre kompositt-struktur inneholdende flere lag av fiber med stor styrke og stivhet, innlagt i et resinmateriale så som epok-sy. Fibrene er orientert til å motstå interne og eksterne trykk og gi en lav bøyingsstivhet. Fibre med høy styrke og modul er lagt inn og båndet til en matrise som holder fibrene på plass, virker som et belastnings-over-føringsmedium og beskytter fibrene mot miljskade."Plastbinderen i hvilken fibrene er innlagt for å danne matrisen vil ha en elastisitetsmodul (heretter modul) som overskrider 100.000 psi. En foring kan typisk benyttes i røret for å tjene som en strukturell del, en funk-sjon av hvilken er trykkbevaring for å motvirke lekkasje av interne fluida inne i røret.
