Abstract
The invention concerns a communication device interface which is used for optional connection of input lines (E1, ..., E128) assembled to form a plurality of input line groups to at least one output line group (A1, ..., A16), each of the input line groups being connected to a separate interface element (SE) of at least one interface element arrangement (e.g. KA21) with a funnel structure. Each interface element arrangement further comprises a number of outputs corresponding to the number of output lines belonging to the respective output line group. Each of these outputs is connected to one of the output lines belonging to the respective output line group. According to the invention, the respective interface element arrangement (KA21) consists simply of the interface elements (SE) connected to the input line groups. Each of the interface elements has outputs which are individually associated with the output lines belonging to the respective output line group. Only one of the mutually corresponding outputs of these interface elements can thus be optionally connected by switching means to the relevant output line of the respective output line group.
