Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en fremgangs- måte for håndtering av kobling i et telekommunika- sjonssystem, omfattende digitale datamaskinstyrte telefonsentraler og abonnenter som er koblet til nevnte, idet koblingshåndteringen blir distribuert ut i nettet. Fysiske koblinger mellom abonnenter blir håndtert under styring av abstrakte koblingsmo- deller, hvorved i et objektorientert system en fler- het av forskjellige, innbyrdes uavhengige brukerpro- sesser blir fremskaffet på en slik måte at en eller flere av nevnte prosesser under styring av en eller flere prosessorer styrer den eller de koblinger som er nødvendige for å oppnå f.eks. reservasjon av en koblingsbane, koblingsoppsetting, gjennomkobling og frigjøring av en komplettert kobling, samt omdirige- ring av koblinger. Oppfinnelsen løser det problem som går ut på å koordinere en flerhet av prosesser ved hjelp av et sett av funksjonelle objekter som tillater hver bruker å styre og endre en kobling uten koordinering med andre brukere. Fremgangsmåten blir betegnet som koblingsmodell og understøtter oppsettingen av koblinger i et kommunikasjonsnett. Koblingsmodellene omfatter portobjekter som repre- senterer koblingsendeporter og koblingsobjekter som representerer abstrakte koblinger mellom endeporter. Når objekter og modeller er blitt forbundet med hverandre i en kjede, kan koblingen settes opp fy- sisk via en koblings-oppsettingsfunksjon.
