Avslandsmåleinnretningene (A1-A49, 1-8) er i den forbindelse anordnet på linjer ved siden av hverand- re. I hvert tilfelle aksepteres den korteste måling fra en linje som beste verdi. Dermed blir en enkel, men allikevel presis måling mulig.
