Abstract
On the multi-wire core (1) and inner conductive layer (2) of e.g. soot-filled polymer is extruded and covered with e.g. crosslinked polyethylene insulation (3). Over this an outer conductive layer (4) of filled polyethylene or one of its copolymers underlies a layer of crepe paper tape (5) rendered conductive by graphite or soot and forming a cushion for the screen (6) of e.g. CU wires. An absorbent textile strip (7) loaded with e.g. Cu or Al tinsel or threads of limited length guarantees continuous contact between this screen and an outer metallic sleeve (8) under polyethylene jacket (9).
