Abstract

Innretning for å sammenkople metallrør som dekker fiberoptiske kabler omfatter minst to klemmeenheter (10, 10') for å holde metallhylsen (C5) og to metallrør (C2, C2') som dekker de to fiberoptiske kabler (C, C' ) i en nær posisjon. Et laser-sveisehode er plassert mellom to tilstøtende klemmeenheter. Hver klemme- enhet har et hjul som et rotasjonslegeme som skal drives av et drivhjul (38), klemmeanordninger (28, 33, 34) for å klemme de metallrør-dekkede fiberoptiske kabler som er ført inn i et inn- føringshull (31, 35) hvor de metallmant- lede fiberoptiske kabler er satt inn. Klemmeanordningene er understøttet av rotasjonslegemet for å være bevegelig sammen med rotasjonslegemet. Rota- sjonslegemet og klemmeanordningene er hver utstyrt med en radial, selektivt åpen eller blokkert uttrekningsbane (36, 22') for å fjerne, i radial retning, den metallrør-dekkede fiberoptiske kabel som er ferdig sammenkoplet av innretningen.
