For ledningstermineringen til avsnittsvis forlengbare ledninger i bussystemer ved utvidelser av anlegg foreslås det å tilordne hver komponent koblings- dyktige ledningstermineringer med ledningsende- detektorer på begge sider av innerledningen. Led- ningsendedetektoren detekterer en åpen lednings- ende og kobler avslutningsmotstanden til den til- ordnede koblingsdyktige ledningsterminering aktivt.
