Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av et stabilt hydrokarbonpro- dukt i fora av et hydrat av minst ett hydratdannende hydro- karbon omgitt av eller suspendert i en hydrokarbonholdig væske. Oppfinnelsen omfatter selve produktet, fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av produktet samt et anlegg for fremstilling av produktet. Prosessen omfatter følgende trinn: a) Hydratdannende hydrokarboner og vann bringes sammen i en hydratgenererende sone (1) under hydratdannende prosess- betingelser. Varmeenergi som frigjøres under hydratdannelsen, fjernes fra sonen ved direkte kjøling med et første kjøle- medium. Herved dannes et første mellomprodukt, som har en gjennomsnittlig temperatur som er lik eller høyere enn van- nets frysepunkt. b) Eventuelt forekommende uomsatt vann fjernes fra det første mellomproduktet, hvorved det oppnås et andre mellom- produkt, som i det vesentligste er fritt for uomsatt vann. c) Det andre mellomproduktet kjøles i en kjølesone (80) ved direkte kjøling med et andre, hydrokarbonholdig kjølemedium til en slutt-temperatur som i gjennomsnitt er lavere enn vannets frysepunkt. Sluttproduktet omfatter partikler av fast, hydratholdig materiale, som er omgitt av eller suspendert i et flytende hydrokarbonbæremedium med et damptrykk som ved slutt-tempera- turen er lavere enn slutt-trykket.A process for preparing a stable hydrocarbon product in the forums of a hydrate of at least one hydrate-forming hydrocarbon surrounded by or suspended in a hydrocarbon-containing liquid. The invention encompasses the product itself, the method of manufacture of the product and a plant for the manufacture of the product. The process comprises the following steps: a) Hydrate-forming hydrocarbons and water are brought together in a hydrate-generating zone (1) under hydrate-forming process conditions. The thermal energy released during hydrate formation is removed from the zone by direct cooling with a first cooling medium. This creates a first intermediate product, which has an average temperature equal to or higher than the freezing point of the water. b) Any unreacted water that is present is removed from the first intermediate product, thereby obtaining a second intermediate, which is essentially free of unreacted water. c) The second intermediate is cooled in a cooling zone (80) by direct cooling with a second hydrocarbon-containing refrigerant to a final temperature which is, on average, lower than the freezing point of the water. The final product comprises particles of solid hydrate-containing material which are surrounded by or suspended in a liquid hydrocarbon support medium with a vapor pressure lower than the final pressure at the final temperature.
