Abstract
Forbedrede avlingsutbytter oppnås ved å bestemme totalt oppløste faste stoffer (TDS) i en representativ prøve av planter som skal utplantes, for å bestemme overlevelsesevnen som en logaritmisk funksjon av TDS før utplanting. Unge planter med høy overleveleseevne kan deretter utplantes. Man bruker et refraktometer med en logaritmisk skala som viser lave, middels og høye overlevelsesevner som en direkte avles- ning fra en saftprøve. En bioregulator kan brukes for å indusere høye TDS-nivåer før utplanting. En spesiell anven- delse av oppfinnelsen er for å utplante jordbærutløpere.
