Abstract
En membran elektrokjemisk celler, spesielt en brenselscelle, av forbedret type omfattende en mengde celleelementer, hvor hvert element er dannet av blpolare plater, strømsamlere, elektrode og membraner, hvor funksjonen til elektrisk strømoverføring gjennom celleelementene, frigjøring av varme mot det ytre miljøet, fordeling av elektrisk strøm til elektrodene og membraner, fjerning av varme fra elektroder og membraner og fordeling av reaktanter og produkter blir utført av bestemte komponenter, spesielt blpolare plater for de første to og porøse elektroledende samlere for de andre. De blpolare platene kan ha flate overflater uten fordypninger og bli fortrinnsvis fremstilt med aluminium, titan eller ligerlnger derav, ved hjelp av billig masseproduksjons- teknlkker. De bipolare platene blir anvendt sammen med samlere utstyrt med deformerbarhet, gjenværende elastisitet og høy porøsitet. The bpolar plates can have flat surfaces without recesses and are preferably made with aluminum, titanium or their alloys, by means of inexpensive mass production techniques. The bipolar plates are used with collectors equipped with deformability, residual elasticity and high porosity. Some collectors also act as distributors of gaseous reactants and products.
