Abstract
Forbedrede fremgangsmåter for enzymatisk fremstilling av karbo- hydrater, spesielt fukosylerte karbo- hydrater. Forbedrede synteser av glyko- syl-1- eller -2rfosfater ved anvendelse av både kjemiske og enzymatiske frem- gangsmåter er også beskrevet. Anvendelse av en spesielt foretrukket fremgangsmåte for fukosylering er også beskrevet.Improved processes for the enzymatic production of carbohydrates, especially fucosylated carbohydrates. Improved syntheses of glycosyl-1 or -2r phosphates using both chemical and enzymatic procedures are also described. The phosphorylated glycosides are then used to prepare sugar nucleotides which in turn are used as donor sugars for glycosylation of acceptor carbohydrates. Use of a particularly preferred method for fucosylation is also described.
