Abstract
A method of forming an electrically conductive joint between a carbon body and a metal body comprises steps of: i) arranging porous metal coating on a surface of the carbon body and ii) joining the surface to the metal body by means of an adhesive which penetrates through the pores in the metal coating and penetrate through the pores in the carbon body. In this method, the porous metal coating provides an electrically conductive path and the adhesive provides a bond between the carbon body and the metal body. The metal body can also be provided with a porous metal coating.
