Multiplekssignalet er dannet av pakker med forutbestemt lengde som kommer fra flere kilder ved å påføre en behandling valgt fra disse som tilhører en katalog av lagrede behandlinger. Den kan anvendes på D2-MAC/pakke og digitalt TV.
