Abstract

En fremgangsmåte og dekoder for dekryptering av krypteringen av et kodet videosignal ved et gitt tidspunkt, idet dekoderen (1) er avstemt til en gitt mottakskanal ved et gitt tidspunkt under bruk av kanalen og tidtakersystemet i en videospiller (2) som er elektrisk koblet til dekoderen ved hjelp av en videoforbindselse (VIDEO). Dekoderen (1) er avstemt til en hjemmekanal mens den er i "stand- by"-posisjon, idet den mottar data fra hjemme- kanalen. Inngangsmodusen (IN1) til dekoderens videoforbindelse blir detektert, og dersom det detekteres at et videosignal kommer fra videofor- bindelsen (INI), blir nevnte videosignal fra videoforbindelsen (INI) koblet til dekrypterings- kretsene (7) i dekoderen. Når opptreden av et videosignal fra videoforbindelsen (INI) slutter, blir et signal fra hjemmekanalen koblet til dekrypteringskretsene (7) i dekoderen.
