Abstract

Den foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører anvendelse av leukemi- inhiberende faktor (LIF), alene eller i kombinasjon med andre cytokiner som interleukin-6 (IL-6) og/eller transformerende vekstfaktor a (TGFa) og/eller fibroblast vekstfaktor (FGF), for å stimulere formeringen og/eller differensieringen av mammale satellittceller. Oppfinnelsen omhandler også en fremgangsmåte omfattende myoblastoverføringsterapi hvorved LIF, alene eller i kombinasjon med andre cytokiner. anvendes for å formere og/eller differensiere mammale satellittceller i myoblastet. Oppfinnelsen er også rettet på en celle- aktiverende blanding og et farmasøytisk preparat omfattende LIF alene eller i kombinasjon med andre cytokiner for å fremme formering og/eller differensiering av mammale satellittceller in vitro henholdsvis in vivo.
