Abstract
Polymerene er termisk tverrbundet ved temperaturer over 100°C.Organosilicon polymers with repeating silylene-1,3-butadiene and / or disilylene-1,3-butadiene units are prepared in a single vessel synthesis from hexachlorobutadiene. Depending on the organic substituents (R and R '), these polymers have useful film-forming properties and are converted to ceramics, such as silicon carbide, by heating in very uniform, high mass yields. The polymers can also be stretched into fibers. The polymers are thermally crosslinked at temperatures above 100 ° C.
