Abstract

Eksisterende, ekspanderbare pakninger er basert på et treventilsystem som styrer tilføringen av rørtrykk til det indre av et ekspanderbart pakningselement (4) som omslutter rørledning- en. De tre ventiler (6, 7, 8) i et slikt system er anordnet i korderetninger i den rørformede sidevegg av en ventilhylse (3) som er forbundet med en ende av det ekspanderbare paknings- element. Det anvendes henholdsvis en ekspansjonsinnlederventil, en reguleringsventil og en ekspansjonsbegrenserventil som er seriekoplet med henblikk på fluidgjennomstrømningen. Grunnet utformingen av gjennomløpskanalene vil reguleringsventilen og ekspansjonsbegrenserventilen beskadiges i størst grad av fluid- strømmen.
