Abstract

Oppfinnelsen angår en anordning til modulasjon av en digital melding i henhold til GMSK-metoden (gaussisk minimums skiftnøkling) som etter en tilsvarende behandling (forkoding) oppfarer seg som en enkeltsidebandmodula- tor. For å generere et GMSK-signal skal det tilveiebringes en innretning av enkel type. cos[2Tl9fH] 4 GMSK- UVCO sin(2Tl9fH] 4 Oppfinnelsen sørger for dette ved et valg av mellomfrekvensen for det genererte enkeltsidebåndspektrum (modulatorut- gangsfrekvensen) slik den tilfredsstiller betingelsen f(ZF) = ft/4 + n ¿ ft/2 for nil, hvorved systemet har en entydig definert pulsrespons. Systemet realiseres ved hjelp av et transversalfilter og hele anordningen i en PROM.
