Description
The invention relates to a device for aerating compost material by means of which air is sucked through the compost material. When aerating compost, it is known to place it in individual composting chambers, and to subject it there to a biological reaction for composting. This biological reaction proceeds exothermically and in order to avoid destruction of the biomass and to keep odors low, it is necessary to lower the temperature of the compost material at least at intervals. In addition, it is beneficial for the activity of the microorganisms to aerate the compost material at intervals.
In the previously known devices, suction fans, especially radial fans, were used for this purpose. The vapors that were extracted from the composting chambers were mostly relatively aggressive, and together with the extracted vapours, a number of pollutants were also extracted. In some cases, such devices can encounter water on the suction side, especially when the suction chambers overflow, and this leads to suction fans causing damage to the shaft or the wheel gear. With regard to the high investments for such suction fans, with such devices it was mostly only possible to aerate several composting chambers at the same time with one suction fan, whereby the existing conditions in the individual composting chambers were only unsatisfactorily taken into account. At regular intervals, it was also necessary to unbalance the air wheels, which resulted in long idle times and high costs.
The invention aims to provide a simple and reliable device of the above-mentioned kind, by means of which it is possible to take into account the actual conditions in the individual composting chambers, and by which the structurally and maintenance-technically expensive parts are kept completely away from the aggressive vapors or . inlet of waste water. In order to solve this task, the invention essentially consists in that on the composting chambers, preferably on their separation chambers, injection nozzles are connected on their suction side which can be influenced by pressure medium. Such injection nozzles are simple wear parts that can be replaced without significant time and cost in the event of corrosion or excessive pollution. Such injection nozzles also have the advantage that they can be controlled in a targeted manner using a pressure medium so that selective aeration of a large number of composting chambers connected next to each other is possible, taking into account the actual conditions in the individual composting chambers. In addition, shut-off valves or flaps are advantageously arranged between the composting chambers and the suction side of the injectors, so that it is possible to aerate individual composting chambers without affecting the adjacent composting chambers.
In a particularly simple way, the flaps assigned to the injector or an injection nozzle, is operated using the same pressure medium that can also be used in the injection nozzles. In a particularly advantageous way, compressed air can be used as the pressure medium here.
By using compressed air as the pressure medium, it is possible to make the device significantly more economical and energy-saving than by using radial fans. In addition, the pressure medium source is advantageously designed as a compressed air reservoir which is connected to at least one compressor or fan, in particular a screw compressor or rotary fan. This compressor or this fan can be set up in protected machine rooms and does not come into immediate contact with aggressive vapors from the composting chambers. The construction of the compressor or fan in a protected machine room also facilitates maintenance work, as this can be carried out regardless of the weather conditions.
For further improvement of energy economy, the design is preferably such that a compressor is connected to the compressed air storage which runs at a fixed speed for the base air quantity per unit of time corresponding to the air volume required for lowest operation, as well as an additional compressor whose air output can be regulated, in particular a speed-controlled piston compressor for supplementing the air volume at maximum operation. With such a design, the required air flow can be taken into account with minimum energy consumption, and the required operating performance for suction of air from the composting chambers can be adapted exactly to the respective needs.
For selective control of a plurality of composting chambers, controllable and/or adjustable valves to the individual injectors can advantageously be arranged in the lines from the compressed air storage, possibly with intermediate pistoning of a pressure reduction valve. These controllable and/or adjustable valves can advantageously be operated electrically, in particular electromagnetically, so that a simple and reliable control electronics can be used to carry out the aeration of the individual composting chambers in accordance with the actual conditions prevailing in the respective composting chambers. Because the injection nozzles are inexpensive, simple construction parts without moving parts, it is easily possible to assign a separate injection nozzle in each individual composting chamber, whereby each composting chamber can actually be subjected to separate and selective aeration. For control or regulation of these electrical or electromagnetically operated valves, a control unit is advantageously arranged which is connected to signal lines from sensors, especially temperature and/or humidity sensors, which are arranged within the composting chambers.
In order to ensure a simultaneous opening of the respective flaps between the separation chambers and the associated injectors by influencing the injectors with the help of the pressure medium, spring-loaded flaps that can be operated with the help of pressure medium in the opening eye can advantageously be used in the closing eye. These flaps, which are operated using pressure medium, can
på fordelaktig måte via trykkledninger være forbundet med ledninger av de respektive tilsvarende injektorer mellom de styr- eller regulerbare ventiler og injektoren slik at in an advantageous way via pressure lines be connected with lines of the respective corresponding injectors between the control or adjustable valves and the injector so that
alltid, når ledningen til en bestemt injektor påvirkes av den styr- eller regulerbare ventil ved hjelp av trykkmedium, også den tilhørende klaff : betjenes i åpningsretning. always, when the line to a specific injector is affected by the control or adjustable valve by means of pressure medium, also the associated flap: is operated in the opening direction.
In order to reduce the noise load, the pressure side of the injector or injectors is advantageously connected to at least one silencer and/or a filter. As a filter, soil filters come into question in a particularly simple way, as the waste heat from the compost chambers can be used immediately for the cultivation of agricultural products. The waste heat can of course also be recovered using heat exchangers that are built on the silencer or filter and can, especially in winter, be fed back to the individual compost chambers.
With the help of the injection nozzles, a negative pressure of more than 100 mb can be achieved without further ado, as you get effective and simultaneous aeration of the individual composting chambers.
In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with the help of an embodiment schematically shown in the drawing.
In the drawing, 1 denotes a compressed air bearing which via a screw compressor 2 or a rotary piston fan is fed with compressed air. The amount of compressed air stored in the compressed air reservoir 1 reaches via a line 3 and a pressure reduction valve 4 to individual controllable or adjustable valves 5, the associated control unit being denoted by 6. This control unit 6 is connected via a signal line 7 to at least one temperature and humidity sensor 8 in the interior of at least one composting chamber 9. The drawing shows three next to arranged composting chambers 9 at the lower ends of which separation chambers 10 are arranged.
På separasjonskamrene 10 er det tilkoblet sugeledninger 11Suction lines 11 are connected to the separation chambers 10
i hvilke det er koblet inn klaffer 12 som kan åpnes pnevmatisk og lukkes ved hjelp av fjærtrykk. in which flaps 12 are connected which can be opened pneumatically and closed using spring pressure.

Each individual composting chamber 9 has been assigned a special injection nozzle 13 whose pressure medium lines 14 lead to one of the controllable or adjustable valves 5. Between the controllable or adjustable valve 5 and the respective assigned injector or injection nozzle 13 opens a control line 15 for the pneumatic operation of the respective assigned pneumatic valve 12.
When the control unit affects a specific controllable or adjustable valve 5, simultaneously with the action of the associated injection nozzle 13, the corresponding flap 12 is opened via the control line 15, and air is sucked out from the corresponding composting chamber 9, as the air around is sucked through the composting chamber 9.
The pressure sides of the injection nozzle 13 are connected via pressure lines 16 to a muffler 17 from which condensate is diverted via a line 18. After passing through the muffler, the still warm exhaust air flows into a filter 19.
In the event that the amount of air delivered by the screw compressor or the rotary piston fan 2 is not sufficient to keep the pressure medium bearing 1 at the required pressure level, an additional piston compressor 20 is arranged with an air requirement corresponding to the speed regulation. Depending on the pressure in the compressed air reservoir 1, this further piston compressor is operated and regulated by means of a control device 21. With this piston compressor such as e.g. is operated by means of a thyristor-controlled electric motor, the necessary difference to the maximum quantity can be covered. Any excess amounts of compressed air can be fed via a line 22 to a further pneumatic accumulator.
With this device, by means of the selective controls of the individual controllable or adjustable valves 5, it is possible to aerate the individual compost chambers 9 independently of each other, as the energy absorption is limited to the individual compost
steringskamrenes sugeslag.the suction stroke of the steering chambers.
The filter 19 can be designed as a filter vessel which is filled with soil above which a glass housing is created. With such a filter vessel, the waste heat can be utilized immediately in agriculture, as the hot, extracted gases are led from below into this filter vessel, e.g. using diffusers.
