Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for å redusere instabilitet og øke beregningseffektiviteten ved tomografisk invertering for å bygge en hastighetsmodell. Et system av tomografiske likninger utvikles for et uniformt beregningsgitter. En ikke-uniform parametrisering finnes for hvilken det eksisterer en lineær avbildning mellom rommet til det uniforme beregningsgitteret og rommet til det ikke-uniforme beregningsgitteret. Matrisen som relaterer hastighet til de tomografiske dataene i den ikke-uniforme representasjonen, er da gitt ved matriseproduktet mellom den motsvarende matrisen i representasjonen med uniformt beregningsgitter og avbildningsmatrisen. Invertering kan da gjøres for den ikke-uniforme parametriseringen av en mindre, mer stabil matrise.
