Abstract

Anordning og fremgangsmåte for å måle gammastråleenergispektre hvori forsterkningen til målesystemet blir kontinuerlig og automatisk justert til en standard forsterkning. Systemets forsterkning blir styrt automatisk ved analyse av de målte energispektre. Alternativt blir systemets forsterkning styrt ved bruken av en kalibreringskilde og driften av systemet ved en standard og forsterket forsterkning. Forsterkningsstyring kan bli forbedret ytterligere ved å kombinere både den spektrale analyse og kalibreringskilde-metodologien. Systemet kan bli tilveiebrakt i en kabel eller logge-under-boring borehulloggesystemer som måler naturlig forekommende eller induserte eller innførte gammastrålespektre. Systemet kan også bli brukt i ikke-borehullapplikasjoner innbefattende ikke-borehull gammastrålespektralsystemer slik som datamaskinassistert-tomografiskanderingssystemer, sikkerhetsskanderings-systemer, strålingsovervåkings-systemer, prosess-styresystemer, analytiske målesystemer som bruker aktiverings-analysemetodologi og lignende.
