Description
FREMGANGSMÅTE OG ANORDNING FOR Å RENSE EN BRØNNS ØVRE PARTI METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CLEANING THE UPPER PART OF A WELL
This invention relates to a method for cleaning the upper part of a well. More specifically, it concerns a method for cleaning the upper part of a well for deposits where a tool with a rotatable cleaning head is connected to a wireline and is moved into the well. The invention also includes a device for carrying out the method.
Deposits in pipes and wells in connection with petroleum extraction can cause significant production and functional obstacles.
Deposits tend to form in particular at flow-related narrowings and in the upper part of a well. It is thus a known problem that deposits, for example, in a downhole safety valve can prevent such a valve from being able to operate as desired.
It is known to use rotating tools on a so-called wireline tractor to loosen deposits in pipes and other equipment. Patent document WO 2010/053374 shows such a rotating tool connected to a wireline tractor. Equipment of this kind has the significant weakness that part of the available electrical power that can be supplied via a relatively long and thin wire is consumed to operate the wireline tractor. There is thus relatively little power left to drive the rotatable cleaning head.
Patent document US 2005/217867 shows a tractor on the end of a coiled pipe. The tractor is equipped with a tool for flushing out material in front of the tractor's free end, and the material is deposited in the well behind the tractor.
The purpose of the invention is to remedy or reduce at least one of the disadvantages of known technology.
The purpose is achieved according to the invention by the features indicated in the description below and in the subsequent patent claims.
Det er tilveiebrakt en fremgangsmåte for å rense en brønns øvre parti for avleiringer hvor et verktøy med et roterbart rensehode er koplet til en wireline og forskyves inn i brønnen og hvor fremgangsmåten kjennetegnes ved at den omfatter: - å forsyne et rulleanker med en motor for drift av det roterbare rensehodet; - å kople det roterbare rensehodet til motoren; A method has been provided for cleaning the upper part of a well for deposits where a tool with a rotatable cleaning head is connected to a wireline and is moved into the well and where the method is characterized by the fact that it includes: - supplying a rolling anchor with a motor for operation of the rotatable cleaning head; - to connect the rotatable cleaning head to the motor;
- to allow the tool to be displaced by its own weight into the well.
By looping the wireline tractor and relying on the tool being moved into the well using its own weight, almost the entire power that can be supplied via the wireline can be used to drive the rotatable cleaning head.
Another advantage is that there is no need to calculate as long a wireline as is usually used when one relies on the use of a wireline tractor. Thereby, a wireline with a coarser cross-section can be used, which enables the transmission of greater electrical power.
The procedure may include supplying the roller anchor with a hydraulic unit to be able to move the roller anchor's wheel towards the well. A pump in the hydraulic unit can advantageously be connected to the motor so that the wheels in the roller anchor are pressed against the well wall when the motor is started to drive the rotatable tool.
Control from the surface is thereby limited to simple starting and stopping of the tool, as well as feeding and feeding the wireline into the well.
The method can be carried out using a cleaning equipment to clean the upper part of a well for deposits, where a tool with a rotatable cleaning head is connected to a wireline and is displaceable by its own weight into the well, and where the tool comprises a roller anchor with a drive motor for it rotatable cleaning head, as well as a hydraulic unit for activating the rolling anchor's wheel towards the well.
The wireline can be connected to the roller anchor by means of a cable head and a swivel.
The hydraulic unit can be driven by the engine and be equipped with an accumulator.
The rotating tool can be made up of a drill bit. It has been shown that a drill bit is significantly more effective at removing deposits than traditional roller bits that are designed to roll against the deposits. This is particularly the case when greater electrical power than is usual when using wireline tractors is available. The method and device according to the invention enables a significant streamlining of scale removal compared to known technology.
In what follows, an example of a preferred method and embodiment is described, which is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, where:
Fig. 1 shows a tool according to the invention.
In the drawing, the reference number 1 denotes a tool for cleaning deposits 2 from the upper part of a well 4.
The tool 1 comprises a roller anchor 6 which is provided with a motor 8 for operating a rotatable cleaning head 10, preferably in the form of a drill bit. The rotatable cleaning head 10 is stored in a storage unit 12.
The rolling anchor 6 is connected to a wireline 14 by means of a cable head 16 and swivel 18 of a design known per se.
The roller anchor 6 is also provided with a hydraulic unit 20 which is arranged to be able to move the roller anchor 6's wheel 22 out towards the well 4. The pump of the hydraulic unit 20, not shown, is driven by the motor 8.
The tool 1 is moved into the well 4 by means of its own weight by feeding out the wireline 14. When the cleaning operation is to be started, voltage is connected to the wireline 14 whereby the motor 8 starts, and the rotatable cleaning head 10 is brought to rotate relative to the roller anchor 6.
The motor 8 simultaneously drives the pump of the hydraulic unit 20, not shown, which causes the wheels 22 to be displaced towards the well 4 and prevents the roller anchor 6 from turning in the well 4.
Et rulleanker 6 av denne art er i stand til å oppta et betydelig dreiemoment samtidig A roller anchor 6 of this kind is able to absorb a significant torque at the same time
Derved oppnås en effektiv rensning samtidig som faren for fastkjøring er betydelig redusert. which can easily be rolled back and forth in the well 4. It is thus possible to control the feed speed in relation to the measured power consumption, which mainly goes to the operation of the rotatable cleaning head 10. In this way, an effective cleaning is achieved while the danger of jamming is reduced significantly reduced.
