Description
The present invention relates to a safety shoe as stated in the preamble to patent claim 1.
From DE 196 16 027 Al, a protective shoe is known in which a protective cap with an inwardly directed flange in the front shoe area engages under a lining and an insole connected to it. At the end of the toe, the sole of the shoe has an indentation corresponding to the thickness of the flange with adjacent fdr, in which indentation the flange of the protective cap is arranged. As a result of the constructive design of the protective cover, the shoe's toe space is not yielding in its shape. When, for example, a wearer works in a squatting position or stands on tiptoes, the design of the protective cap leads to restrictions on the foot's freedom of movement. When the toe joints are bent, the shoe sole will bend upwards in the area at the rear end of the protective cap, as the pivot point of the shoe sole is located near the rear end of the protective cap. This position of the pivot point results in a reduction of the free height between the rear edge of the protective cap and the insole when bending. This means that the protective cap will cut into the foot in the area at the root of the tear, so that pressure points occur on the wearer's foot and the wearer experiences a painful effect. Even if padding the rear edge of the protective cap, as specified in EN 344, will only slightly eliminate this disadvantage, because the thickness of the padding will result in a further reduction of the already small free space between the protective cap and the insole.
The purpose of the present invention is to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages and to further develop a safety shoe of the initially mentioned type so that the toe space between the protective cap and the insole is narrowed to the smallest possible extent, regardless of the shoe's load condition and the wearer's movements.
This is achieved with the features indicated in the characteristic of patent claim 1. Advantageous further developments are indicated in the independent patent claims.
In order to achieve the purpose of the invention, a safety shoe is proposed in which a mainly dome-shaped protective cap is arranged in the toe of the shoe, the rear limitation of the protective cap on the side facing away from the toe of the shoe having a padding part which is arranged in an essentially congruently designed arch of the protective cap, which arch extends in the direction from the sole of the shoe upwards. With such a shoe, it is an advantage that the free space between the protective cover and the insole, i.e. the shoe's toe space, remains almost unchanged compared to a flat-fitting shoe, when the wearer works in a squatting position or stands on tiptoes.
With such a design, it is an advantage that the upper limit of the toe space is free from jump-like changes in direction and that the free space between the protective cap and the insole is not reduced despite the fitted padding part at the rear upper end of the protective cap.
According to the invention, in addition to the protective cap, a forefoot stiffening plate is arranged in the toe of the safety shoe, which stiffening plate forms a component of a shoe sole, the ratio between the length of the stiffening plate and the length of the shoe sole as well as the ratio between the length of the protective cap and the length of the stiffening plate being 0.3 to 0.7. Such a design also contributes to the fact that the free space between the protective cover and the insole, i.e. the toe space in the shoe, remains virtually unchanged compared to a flat-fitting shoe, even when the wearer works in a squatting position or stands on tiptoes.
The pivot point of the shoe sole will, for example when the wearer crouches down, be at the end of the stiffening plate facing away from the shoe tip, which end is noticeably longer towards the middle of the shoe than the rear upper edge of the protective cap. The free space between the protective cap and the inner sole in the area at the rear upper edge of the protective cap will thereby remain unchanged to the greatest extent possible, also when the wearer crouches down, because the bending radius of the shoe sole is increased as a result of the device and the design of the stiffening plate.
Preferably, the ratio between the length of the stiffening plate and the length of the shoe sole as well as the ratio between the length of the protective cap and the length of the stiffening plate is 0.5.
The protective cover and the stiffening plate preferably form a pre-assembled unit. Depending on the individual conditions in the individual application cases, it is possible to arrange the stiffening plate inside or outside the protective cover in the front foot area. The pre-mountable unit is preferably achieved by means of a form-locking connection between the protective cover and stiffening plate.
The protective cap in the toe area can - seen in longitudinal section - have an ever-increasing distance from the shoe sole, counted from the tip of the shoe and towards the rear protective cap limitation. This design likewise contributes significantly to achieving the purpose of the invention. The free height between the inside of the protective cap and the inner sole will therefore be essentially constant even with a bent shoe sole, and an unwanted contact between the rear upper edge of the protection and the foot in the area at the root of the toe will be excluded.
In an advantageous embodiment, the shoe sole can include an inner sole which extends into the protective cover and is connected to this by means of the stiffening plate. As the protective cover transfers the effective pressure to the base sole, this must be firmly connected to the protective cover. The inner sole is preferably force-lockingly connected to the pre-mountable unit, which consists of a protective cover and a stiffening plate, as the protective cover and the stiffening plate can for example be fixed in relation to each other by means of a snap connection.
The bracing plate can - seen in the ground plan - have a mainly sieve shape. This increases the safety shoe's wearing comfort without limitations in terms of the benefits achieved for the foot's freedom of movement. In addition, the sickle-shaped stiffening plate has the advantage that the change in stiffness will be uniform from the tip of the shoe backwards. The stiffness decreases evenly from the forefoot area and towards the heel.
The stiffening plate can preferably in the area of the protective cover have an edge with an indentation running over the circumference in which a congruently designed, inward bending edge of the protective cover is arranged. The bend is preferably arranged so that it has surface moisture in the recess. It is an advantage if the shoe sole in such a design has a largely consistent thickness in the area of the forefoot, as this is a distinct advantage with regard to the simple manufacture of the vemes shoe and its good usability.
The ratio between the thickness of the stiffening plate and the thickness of the insole is essentially equal to 1. It is advantageous if safety shoes with relatively thin shoe soles also have the advantageous usage characteristics that the waders according to the present invention have. The thickness of the inner sole and the thickness of the stiffening plate in the area outside the recesses is, for example, preferably 2.5 mm.
It has proven advantageous if the thickness of the stiffening plate is from 2 to 3 mm and the thickness in the area at the recess is from 1 to 2 mm. With such dimensions, a good compromise is achieved between low weight, a small thickness and good usability.
The stiffening plate preferably consists of a polymeric material. In this connection, it is advantageous if the stiffening plate is connected to adjacent components by means of a hot-melt adhesive, for example using the so-called hot-melt method.
The stiffening plate from the back edge facing the toe of the shoe may have a chamfer on the side facing from the insole. Thereby, a continuous transition between the stiffening plate and the insole is achieved. In this connection, it is advantageous that no undesired large notch effects occur in the area of the shoe sole and that the risk of the shoe sole breaking is reduced to a minimum. In addition, the chamfering will result in an avoidance of the contours of the stiffening plate being imprinted in the inner sole, with a corresponding reduction in wearer comfort.
The new safety shoes must be described in more detail with reference to Figures 1 to 3.
Figures 1 to 3 show a design example of a safety shoe, purely schematically.
Figur 1 viser et utførelseseksempel av en vernesko, Figure 1 shows a design example of a safety shoe,
Figur 2 viser et utsnitt hentet av vemeskoen i Figur 1, og Figure 2 shows a section taken from the vemeskoen in Figure 1, and
Figure 3 shows a ground plan of the bracing plate in Figures 1 and 2.
With the wader shoe according to the invention, it is an advantage that when carrying out work in a kneeling position and in a working position, for example when laying tiles, the rear upper edge 8 of the protective cap 2 will not be pressed into the root of the toe, precisely because the shoe sole 4 has a bending line with a large bending radius. Pressure points and bleeding and also partial skin damage are thereby avoided. As a result of the safety shoe's design, the volume in the toe area is significantly increased compared to the known safety shoes, so that even when the toe is bent, usually between 30° and 35° relative to the horizontal, the foot does not come into contact with the protective cap 2.
Figure 1 shows an example of the design of the vemeskoen. In the front foot area of the safety shoe, the shoe has a toe tip 1 with a dome-shaped protective cap 2, an insole 12 and a forefoot stiffening plate 3. The protective cap 2 is surrounded by the shoe's shaft 19, which in turn is connected to the outsole 20.
In order to achieve a larger bending radius for the shoe sole 4 when the foot is rolled off, the arrangement of the stiffening plate 3 in the shoe sole 4 as well as its assignment to the protective cover 2 is of decisive importance. It has proven advantageous if the ratio between the length 5 of the stiffening plate 3 and the length 6 of the shoe sole 4 as well as the ratio between the length 7 of the protective cap 2 and the length 5 of the stiffening plate 3 amounts to 0.5, as in the example shown here. The rear limitation 8 of the protective cap 2 is provided with a padding part 9, thereby avoiding damage to the tear roots also at a bending angle of, for example, more than 60°. In the example shown, the padding part 9 is partially connected to the rear restriction 8 on the protective cover, for example by means of an adhesive. The angle between the front limit 21 and the upper limit 22 of the protective cap 2 is in any case more than 90°, so that a greater clearance for the foot is achieved.
In Figure 2, the geometric dimensions are shown in a section taken from Figure 1.1 Figure 2 shows a front foot area of a shoe, where the protective cap 2 and the inner sole 12 are connected to each other by means of the stiffening plate 3. The relationship between the length 5 of the stiffening plate 3 and the length 6 of the shoe sole 4 as well as between the length 7 of the protective cover 2 and the length 5 of the stiffening plate 3 in the embodiment form approx. 0.5. The stiffening plate 3 is provided on the side facing the protective cover 2 with a circumferentially extending depression 13 in which a congruently designed, inwardly directed flange-shaped bending edge 14 on the protective cover 2 is arranged. In the design example shown here, the inner sole 12 has a thickness 16 equal to the thickness 15 of the stiffening plate 3, and the thickness in both cases is approx. 2.5 mm. In the area of the recess 13, on the other hand, the stiffening plate 3 is only designed with a thickness of 1.5 mm. The bend 14 is mainly arranged in the recess 13 so that the surfaces align. On the side facing away from the protective cover 2, the stiffening plate 3 is provided with a chamfer 18 to thereby achieve a smooth transition to the inner sole 12.
Figure 3 shows a ground plan of the stiffening plate 3 shown in Figure 2. The length 5 of the stiffening plate 3 corresponds to approximately half the shoe sole length 6.1 the area at the tip of the shoe 1 the recess 13 is arranged, and at the rear edge 17 of the stiffening plate 3 the aforementioned chamfer 18 is indicated.
