Description

Method for mounting panels of the insulating layer
to the building wall and a set of elements for
mounting panels of the insulating layer to
the building wall
The present invention relates to the method for mounting to the building wall of the panels of the insulating layer, in particular in the ventilated facades.
The present invention relates also to the set of elements for mounting to the building wall of the panels of the insulating layer, in particular in the ventilated facades.
The structures of ventilated facades used in the construction industry intended for thermal insulation of building walls, comprise a support structure for facade boards or panels, constructed at least from metal sections attached to the wall with the use of a bracket. In a number of examples the said support structure includes vertical sections and horizontal sections that are connected rigidly with them. In the space between sections fixed to the building wall, an insulating layer is mounted to the wall in the form of mineral wool panels or other insulating materials/panels.
The mounting of the insulating panels to the wall that is being thermally insulated is performed in practice with the use of anchor plugs with an oblong body ending at one side with a pressure plate for the panel. The known anchor plugs are installed in holes made in the wall, by punching the insulating plate through, which is disadvantageous, as it damages the external surface of the panel and its internal structure. Moreover, it causes the creation of thermal bridges at the points where the plugs, which form the thermal bridge, go through the panel.
The Polish patent application PL 398773(Al) reveals an anchor plug that eliminates the above-mentioned inconveniences, intended for mounting the insulating element on the surface of the space divider without the need to punch this element through.
The known plug has a stud which can be driven directly into the hole in the wall and the flange resting on the wall surface after the stud has been driven into the hole. There is a sharp-pointed holder going from the flange, created by two arms, each of which is mounted with a spring-loaded attachment to the flange and curve bent. The insulating panel is studded on the holders to mount it to the building wall. The anchor plug allows to mount the insulating panels made of foamed polystyrene, polyurethane and mineral wool without punching the external surface of the panels, since the length of the holders is smaller than the thickness of the panel being studded on them.
The European patent specification EP2 634324 reveals a bracket for mounting insulating elements on the surface of support structures, e.g. of vertical walls or the walls near the vertical direction. The known bracket has one arm in the form of an oblong arrowhead with a number of holders profiled to both sides, whose shape prevents slipping of the studded panel and the other, shorter arm with holes for fasteners used to attach the bracket to the building structure. After attaching the required number of brackets to the wall, the insulating elements are studded on them without being punched through.
The known solutions described above enable convenient and secure mounting of insulating panels to the building wall by studding the surfaces of panels facing the wall on the holders of anchor elements attached to the wall without the risk of damaging the external surface of the panels by these holders. The patent literature reveals also a number of solutions that allow to mount the insulating panels to the building wall with the use of anchor elements attached to the wall, with holders designed to be driven into the insulating panels from the side of side walls (perimeter walls) of the panels.
For example, the Polish patent specification PL 165907 reveals a load-bearing structure of the framed wall that allows to anchor the insulating panels, in particular to prevent them from sliding out with time. The load-bearing structure of the wall that allows to anchor the insulating panels comprises vertical studs (vertical sections) with a flat part with the first and the second surface and which are provided with prongs cut out from the flat part. The holes with the shape corresponding to these prongs are oblong with a free sharp-pointed end and tongues (holders) going from at least one of the edges. The prongs are integral elements of the flat part and can be deflected from it along the bending line to take the operating position, substantially, perpendicular to the flat part. In the operating position the prongs enable studding of side walls of the insulating panel on them, which form the layer filling up the space between two flat parts of the vertical studs of the wall.
A similar solution is presented in the American patent specification US 4761928 which reveals a stud (vertical section) of the wall frame including a number of pairs of arms forming prongs with jagged edges punched out of the web (body) of the stud. The prongs of each pair may be bent transversally to the web of the stud, alternately on one and the other side, immediately prior to use in the wall of fibreglass panels which are then studded on the prongs on each side of the stud.
The Chinese utility model CN 201436339 reveals a metal fastener for integrating panels, in particular panels of external thermal insulation on the external walls of buildings. The metal fastener is in the form of a metal sheet plate which comprises a mounting element with a mounting hole for the fastener with which it is attached to the wall, as well as a support element and an installation element, and all these elements form integral parts of the fastener. The mounting element and the installation element are substantially perpendicular to the support element; however, the installation element is pointed at the end and deflected in the direction opposite to the mounting element.
The American patent application US 2014202104 reveals a thermal insulation composite system of the building, building comprising such a system and method for producing a thermal insulation composite system. The mentioned thermal insulation composite system comprises plurality of panel-shaped thermal insulating bodies and a plurality of fixing devices for fixing the thermal insulating bodies to an external wall of a building. Each of the fixing devices contains a fixing plate for installing the fixing device to the outer wall, a connecting bridge perpendicular to the fixing plate and at the end of the bridge there is a jagged insert which stabilizes the thermal insulating bodies of panels with their side wall studded on the insert jags. The insert is substantially parallel to the fixing plate. At least one part of the plate insert is designed for engagement with at least one body of the thermal insulation material.
The Chinese utility model CN 202644772 reveals a fastener for a fire resistant layer of mineral wool located on the building wall. The mentioned fastener is made by connection of the fastening sheet metal strip with a part inserted into it and the blocking part. The fastening strip is a flat structure located horizontally. One end of the strip is connected with the vertical blocking part in the form of a plate and the other end of the strip is terminated with grooves on both sides which are useful for strengthening the strip with the concrete wall formed win situ". Near the place where the fastening strip ends with the blocking part, there is an inserted part installed transversally. The inserted part and the blocking part are located vertically, but in planes that are perpendicular to each other. Furthermore, both ends of the inserted part are pointed to allow their insertion into heat resistant panels made of mineral wool.
According to the invention, the method for mounting panels of the insulating layer to the building wall, comprising the fixing of panels on retainers attached to the wall and including pointed tongues or holders onto which the mounted panel is studded, ischaracterised byfact that the external surface of the mounted panel is pressed during its assembly towards the building wall with adjusted force, and preferably, the pressing is performed with the use of external retainers equipped with clamping elements with spikes, and furthermore the panel is pressed against the wall at least by the perimeter of the wall.
Preferably, the clamping elements are installed in a sliding manner on outriggers fixed to the wall, in particular on outriggers attached to the sections forming the support structure of the ventilated facade.
The set of elements for mounting the panels of the insulating layer to the building wall, equipped at least with elements attached to the wall and including pointed tongues or holders for studding the mounted panel on them, ischaracterisedaccording to the invention by the fact that it includes internal retainers for the panel and external retainers for the panel, and the internal retainers for the panel have the L-shaped support strip with a shorter arm with a hole for the fastener with which the internal retainer is attached to the wall and a longer arm with at least two through-slots located in parallel to the plane of the shorter arm and with a holder that is installed in at least one of the slots and intersecting with the longer arm and pointed on both ends, whereas the external retainers comprise the clamping element in the form of a disk with an angular cross-section, installed in a sliding manner on the outrigger, preferably in the form of a sheet metal strip, and the disk forming the clamping element has on one arm, parallel to the outrigger, at least two guiding and retaining jags interacting with the outrigger and within the edge between its two arms the disk has a shaped hole through which the outrigger goes, and furthermore on the second arm of the disk, perpendicular to the outrigger, there is at least one spike located, and preferably at least three spikes.
The holder of the internal retainer has a blocking jag in the middle, preferably spring-loaded, located on the narrower portion of the holder, not wider than the width of the through-slots, and this jag fixes the holder on one side to the longer arm of the support strip, while the opposite portion of the holder is wider than the width of the through-slots of the support strip. As a result, after installation of the holder in the slot of the support strip and blocking it in it with the use of the jag, the holder is fixed on both sides.
In a preferable extended invention, the arras of the support strip of the internal retainer have both edges turned to increase the stiffness of this structural element and, moreover, the longer arm of the support strip has a pointed auxiliary tongue located on the strip from the side of the shorter arm.
Preferably, both edges of the outrigger of the external retainer have jagged edges, in particular within the area where the outrigger interacts with the guiding and retaining jags of the disk of the clamping element.
Preferably, the outrigger of the external holder has a pointed end from the side of the disk of the clamping element. Preferably, the guiding and retaining jags and spikes are integral elements of the disk of the clamping element.
The method for mounting panels of the insulating layer to the building wall according to the invention is easy and convenient to use. It enables effective mounting in all directions of the mineral wool panels on the external wall of the building.
The structure of the elements for mounting the panels of the insulating layer to the building wall according to the invention is simple and durable. It can be used both with vertical and horizontal sections of the ventilated facade.
The present invention in the example of execution is explained in the specification below and shown in the attached figure where Fig.l presents the isometric top view of the internal retainer, Fig.2 presents the isometric bottom view of the internal retainer, Fig.3 presents the isometric top view of the external retainer attached to the horizontal section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig.4 presents the isometric bottom view of the external retainer attached to the horizontal section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig.5 presents the orthographic top view of the external retainer attached to the horizontal section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig. 6 presents the orthographic side view of the external retainer attached to the horizontal section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig.7 presents the orthographic rear view of the external retainer attached to the horizontal section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig.8 presents the isometric top view of the preferable variant of execution of the internal retainer, Fig.9 presents the isometric bottom view of the preferable variant of execution of the internal retainer, Fig.10 presents the isometric general view of the external retainer attached to the vertical section of the support structure of the ventilated facade, Fig. 11 presents the example of the view of the portion of mounting of two insulating panels with the internal element attached to the building wall.
The below presented example of the set of elements for mounting the panels of the insulating layer to the building wall used to execute the described example of the method for mounting the panels of the insulating layer to the building wall according to the invention, comprises the internal retainers A for the insulating panels 1 made of mineral wool and external retainers B for the insulating panels 1 made of mineral wool.
To use the example of the set of elements for mounting the insulating panels 1 with the method according to the invention, the internal retainers A are attached to the wall 2 of the building with known fasteners 3, e.g. pins, and the external retainers B are fixed to the wall 2 for example by attaching them to the horizontal section 4 or vertical sections 5 presented in the figure forming the support structure of the ventilated facade of the building.
The internal retainers A have the L-shaped support strip 6 with a shorter arm 7 with a hole 8 for the fastener 3, with which the internal retainer A is attached to the wall 2 and a longer arm 9 with five or six through-slots 10 located in parallel to the plane of the shorter arm 7 and with the holder 11 installed in at least one of the slots 10, intersecting with the longer arm 9 and pointed at both ends.
The holder 11 of the internal retainer A has a blocking jag 12 in the middle, preferably spring-loaded, situated on the narrower portion of the holder 11, not wider than the width of through-slots 10, and this jag 12 is used to fix the holder 11 against the longer arm 9 of the support strip 6. In turn, the opposite portion of the holder 11 is wider than the width of the through-slots 10 of the support strip 6. As a result, after installation of the holder 11 in any slot 10 of the support belt 6 and blocking it in the slot with the use of the jag 12, the holder 11 is fixed on both sides against the support strip 6.
In the preferable variant of execution of the invention, the arms 7 and 9 of the support strip 6 of the internal retainer A have both edges turned to increase the stiffness of the internal retainer A. Moreover, the longer arm 9 of the support strip 6 has a pointed auxiliary tongue 13 located on the strip 6 from the side of the shorter arm 7 and facing the side opposite to the shorter arm 7.
Whereas the external retainers B comprise the clamping element 14 in the form of a disk with the angular cross section. The clamping element is installed in a sliding manner on the outrigger 15, preferably in the form of a sheet metal strip. The disk forming the clamping element 14 has on one arm, parallel to the outrigger 15, at least two guiding and retaining jags 16 interacting with the outrigger 15 and within the edge between its two arms, the disk of the clamping element 14 has a shaped hole through which the outrigger 15 goes, which preferably has a pointed end from the side of the disk of the clamping element 14. Moreover, on the other arm of the disk of the clamping element 14, perpendicular to the outrigger, there are five spikes 17.
In the presented variant of execution, the guiding and retaining jags 16 and the spikes 17 are integral elements of the disk of the clamping element 14.
Furthermore, both edges of the outrigger 15 of the external retaining element B have jagged edges which interact with the guiding and retaining jags 16 of the disk of the clamping element 14 during execution of the method according to the invention.
The example of the method of mounting panels 1 of the insulating layer to the building wall 2 comprises the fixing of the panels 1 on the internal fasteners A attached to the wall 2 with pins 3 and then pressing of the panels 1 to the wall 2 with adjusted force. For this purpose for example the first insulating panel 1, adhering from below to the support strip 6 of the internal retainer A, is studded on the pointed end of the holder 11 which is inserted from above in the slot 10 of the support strip 6 until the blocking jag 12 clicks into place. It is clear that if the above preferable variant of execution of the internal retainer A is used, it is possible to initially fix the mounted panel 1 on the auxiliary pointed tongue 13 before it is attached to the retainer A with the holders 11. If it is necessary to install on the wall 2 the insulating layer made of two panels 1, it is possible to attach them at the same time to the same retainer A with the use of two holders 11 which are inserted from above in two non-adjacent slots 10 of the support strip 6.
The next panels 1 of the insulating layer are mounted upwards to the wall 2 with studding them on pointed ends of holders 11 installed already in the longer arm 9 of the support strip 6 during fixing of the panels 1 adhering from below to a given support strip 6 of the internal retainer A. The panels 1 fixed with the use of internal retainers A are pressed towards the wall 2 of the building with external retainers B in such a manner that the clamping elements 14 in the form of disks with spikes 17 are pressed to the external surface of the panels 1, adjusting the pressure force by sliding the disks of clamping elements 14 on the outriggers 15 which are fixed to the wall 2 by being attached to the horizontal sections 4 and/or vertical sections 5 forming the support structure of the ventilated facade. The mentioned clamping elements 14 are used to press the panels 1 at least by their perimeter, and after adjustment of the required pressure force, the disks of the clamping elements 14 are fixed to the outriggers 15 by clamping the guiding and retaining jags 16 on the jagged edges of the outriggers 15.
The above presented solution has a number of beneficial features such as, among others: - elimination of the possibility of development of the thermal bridge in the points of mounting the insulating panels to the
wall;
- since on the internal retainers more than one panel can be fixed, it is possible to mount on the walls the insulation consisting of various types of layers, and to mount on the
wall the subsequent layers of insulation at any time
intervals;
- internal retainers may be made of metal or plastic since they are hidden in the insulation and thus they are not
exposed to direct impact of fire;
- it is possible to mount the first insulating panel at a distance from the wall and fill up the empty space with loose insulation by pressing the panels with the use of external
retainers;
- the use of the set of internal and external retainers enables strong fixing of the panel in the direction of the
wall as well as to the right-left and up and down; - if it is necessary to thermally insulate or retrofit the thermal insulation of the already existing ventilated facade, it is possible to use a support structure for attaching the external retainers.
