Abstract

For å karakterisere en undergrunnsstruktur ved bruk av en måleenhet som innbefatter elektromagnetiske (EM) mottakere og én eller flere EM-kilder, blir målte spenningsdata innsamlet av EM-mottakere som reaksjon på utsendelse fra én eller flere EM-kilder, mottatt. Basert på en modell blir forutsagte EM-data beregnet. Inverteringer blir iterativt utført i henhold til en funksjon som beregner en differanse mellom de målte spenningsdataene og et produkt mellom et ledd som inneholder de forutsagte EM-dataene og et ledd som inneholder forvrengningsdata, som tar hensyn til i det minste forvrengningseffekten fra en omgivelse for måleenheten. Inverteringen blir iterativt utført for å løse med hensyn på parametere for modellen og forvrengningsdataene.
