Et system for å verifisere en inertialenhet (7) for et bevegelig legeme, der enheten er anordnet på en bevegelsessimulator (3), og systemet omfatter: · teoretisk modellering (M1) av inertialenheten (7) på bevegelsessimulatoren (3), som forsyner teoretiske treghetsdata (T1) som representerer målte treghetsdata (R) som forutsettes målt av inertialenheten (7); · simuleringsmodellering (M2) omfattende modellering av inertialenheten i et virkelig navigeringsmiljø, der simuleringsmodelleringen blir matet med styrekommandoer (D2) og forsyner simulerte treghetsdata (T2) som representerer utmatede data fra inertialenheten i nevnte virkelige navigeringsmiljø; · beregning av nevnte styrekommandoer (D2) som funksjon av de målte treghetsdataene (R), de simulerte treghetsdataene (T2) og de teoretiske treghetsdataene (T1); og · validering av inertialenheten (7) ved å sammenlikne bevegelsesbanen til det bevegelige legemet med en referansebane.
