Abstract
En fremgangsmåte for å skjøte to rørender (1, 2) omfattende: å forsyne rørendene med sammengripende skrå kanter (3, 4), å skjøte rørendene ved å sette inn et limstoff mellom de skrå kantene og trykke disse sammen (3, 4), å anordne en aksial lastbærende krage (5) rundt de skjøtete rørender, å sette inn et limstoff mellom innerflaten av kragen (5) og ytterflatene av de skjøtete rørender (3, 4) og å få limet til å binde innerflatene av kragen (5) til ytterflatene av de skjøtete rørender. Den aksiale lastbærende krage (5) kan forsynes med en rekke fleksible forsterkningsbånd (8, 9) som bærer den største delen av de aksiale laster utøvet på rørskjøten, slik at bare en minimal aksial last blir utøvd på de bundne, skrå kanter (3, 4).
