Abstract

The invention relates to a rail vehicle with a fire detection device which has a temperature sensor and an evaluation device, wherein the temperature sensor has two elongate elements (11, 12) made of electrically conductive material, which elements (11, 12) extend in a longitudinal direction of the temperature sensor (the figure shows a cross section) and which are insulated from one another by an electrical insulation (15, 16), wherein the two elongate elements (11, 12) are in electrical contact with one another when there is a fire in the rail vehicle, and wherein the evaluation device is configured to detect electrical contact between the two elongate elements (11, 12).
