Oppfinnelsen vedrører et varmepumpesystem (10) som omfatter en varmepumpe (5) som er slik innrettet at den tillater opptak av varmeenergi fra uteluften og levering av varmeenergi til et annet medium (20), samt et ytre rom (2) som er tilpasset oppvarming av uteluft ved bruk av solstråling (12), hvorved systemet (10) er anordnet for å lede uteluften til varmepumpen (5) via det ytre rommet (2). oppfinnelsen kjennetegnes ved at varmepumpesystemet (10) omfatter innretninger (3, 6, 7, 7a, 7b, 9) for å regulere uteluftens innstrømning til det ytre rommet (2).
