Abstract

The invention encompasses a process for improved petroleum recovery (EPR) which combines technical, economic, environmental and social efficiency to increase the recovery factor in fields on land or at sea with a high degree of recovery, more accurately through the use of a blend blend with various types of low fluidity petroleum found in different areas. More specifically, the invention relates to the use of solvents, for example light liquid fractions of petroleum, for example diesel oil and gas oil, a light petroleum and essential oils derived from foamable sources, such as biodiesel, used cleanly or added in any ratio, for injection into a geological formation through an injection well, wherein the resulting final mixture (petroleum / injected solvent) presents a much lower viscosity and greater fluidity than the original petroleum, which becomes important through the petroleum production chain. The invention presents real benefits at all stages of the production chain. In the invention, biodiesel is understood to be an oil having properties similar to diesel produced from mineral sources, but which, however, has been produced from fumible sources, usually agricultural sources.
