Abstract

I en trykkcelle blir en gass ført i bobleform inn i en væske, eller omvendt, væske blir dryppet inn i en gass. Forekomsten av bobler eller dråper blir detektert ved differensialtrykkvariasjon målt mellom innsiden av cellen og en injisert fase i en injeksjonsledning. Denne målingen blir utført ved hjelp av en meget nøyaktig differensialtrykksensor for forskjellige trykk påført innsiden av cellen. En relasjon mellom antallet bobler eller dråper som dannes pr. tidsenhet og trykket inne i cellen, blir utledet fra dette. Det minste blandetrykket for de to fasene svarer så til det trykk hvor den inverse verdien av antallet bobler eller dråper er lik null, som blir utledet ved ekstrapolering av relasjonen. Anvendelse: forbedret oljeutvinning eller geologisk CO2-lagring.
