Abstract
Utvikling av et oljereservoar som er i prosess med oljeutvinning, blir utført ved samanalyse av endringene i forplantningstider og seismiske amplituder av en seismisk wavelet. En baseoppmåling av reservoaret blir fremskaffet, med et sett seismiske loggdatakurver på et første tidspunkt T knyttet til et første hastighetsfelt Vb. En overvåkingsoppmåling av reservoaret blir fremskaffet, idet overvåkings-oppmålingen blir utført på et andre tidspunkt T+?T, med et sett seismiske loggdatakurver knyttet til de samme posisjonene som i baseoppmålingen. Overvåkingsoppmålingen blir knyttet til et andre hastighetsfelt Vm. For et sett punkter i ved baseoppmålingen beregner man for punktene i settet summen S av en norm av differansen mellom amplituden bi av den seismiske loggdatakurven i baseoppmålingen for hvert punkt i', og summen av amplituden mi' for den seismiske loggdatakurven på et tidstilsvarende punkt i' i overvåkingsoppmålingen og amplituden som skyldes reflektivitetsendringene lokalt til det tidstilsvarende punktet i' som skyldes forskjellen mellom det første hastighetsfeltet Vb og det andre hastighetsfeltet Vm; idet det tidstilsvarende punktet i' er forskjøvet i tid med en tidsforskyvning avledet fra hastighetsendringene langs forplantningsbanen fra overflaten til tidstilsvarende punkt i'. Denne summen blir minimalisert for å karakterisere utviklingen av oljereservoaret og utlede hastighetsendringene fra baseoppmålingen til overvåkingsoppmålingen
