Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte for å overføre data mellom en kommunikasjonsadministrasjonsenhet som er om bord på et luftfartøy og et bakkelufttrafikksstyringssystem, som er kjennetegnet ved at de følgende trinn innbefattes: a) å motta alarmer fra et ombordværende overvåkningssystem via en kommunikasjonsbuss, b) å formatere data som rommes i alarmen til et forutbestemt rapporteringsformat når en alarm detekteres og å sende rapporten til bakkesystemet.
